Guide to Sadrith Mora
By: Alessia Ottus
Oh grateful Arkay, may your judegement guide us to the afterlife!
My name is Alessia Ottus, and I'd let like to tell you about the city of Sadrith Mora.
Sadrith Mora is the Vvardenfell district seat of the third Morrowind Great House, the Telvanni. I very carefully considered not even coming to this city, but I decided that I'd rather bring you, my faithful readers, proper facts and wisdom, rather than follow my personal beliefs, which feel strongly about the blasphems of Magicka and the foul wizards that practice it.
Sadrith Mora is built on a small island in the Zafirbel Bay. It is accesible only by boat and the Mage's Guild. Obviously, I chose boat. The city proper revolves around the grand Tel Naga, a wizard's tower for the Telvanni councilors. It is built out of a strange and twisted organic material, seemingly plantlike, obviously the product of some otherworldly magic.
Surrounding Tel Naga are the houses and shops for the Telvanni residents, if you can even call them that. Each "house" is built out of giant mushrooms, again the product of wizard meddling. Foul Dunmer head small tables and shops outside, covered by ragged cloths, selling strange potions and gear to fellow Telvanni while scowling at "outlanders" like me.
The Gateway Inn is a medium-sized hotel of sorts, although it is more like a prison. Outlanders are confined inside, unless they pay a ridiculous amount of money for "Hospitality Papers" in order to enter the town. I of course had Imperial permisson granted, and I laughed in the faces of the haughty Dunmer as I stalked their private streets with pride.
A large seedlike structure is located near the docks, where the Telvanni councillors meet. It glows otherworldy colors and emantes a strange feeling of evil. Only Telvanni members may enter, to which I had no complaints.
Outside the town is Wolverine Hall, a noble Imperial Fort where the responsible Empire can monitor the sly Telvanni. I spent most of my time here, interviewing some of the inhabitants. Most of them came to the same consensus that I did: Sadrith Mora is a filthy and evil town filled with the foul and greedy Telvanni wizard-lords, who will do whatever they can to benefit themselves. I warn you now, grateful readers, that Sadrith Mora is a town, if you can even call it a town, that is best avoided.
May the Nine Guide and Protect you! _________________ You'll see, I'll show you, that when the chips are down, these uh... civilized people, they'll eat each other. You see, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve. |
